Our wedding venue (Mallaui) has private access to 2 of the beaches on the island, Cala Turqueta and Cala Es Talaier so you can come over and take the short trail to the beach anytime from Thursday to Monday.
If you are planning to visit other beaches, bear in mind that capacity is limited. Meaning that you won't be able to access the road to get to certain beaches after 10-11am during a peak season like July.
Either plan to get to the beach early or come and enjoy those 2 next to our venue (which were our favourite in the island).
For the active ones of the crew, we strongly recommend checking if not the entire trail, parts of it.
The Camí de Cavalls has a special significance for the local population and is not simply a historical one. The resurgence of the path is the result of hard work on behalf of many people, who believed it should be available as a public right of way, for cultural and social, as well as historical reasons.

UNESCO declared the island of Menorca a Biosphere Reserve on the 8th of October, 1993, in recognition of the high level of compatibility achieved between the conservation of its rich and diverse natural and cultural heritage, and the economic and social development of its communities. Its Mediterranean landscapes are currently of exceptional quality.
The Citadel of Menorca (better known as the Ciutadella de Menorca or simply Ciutadella), is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and most visited cities on the island. Its historical past, streets full of charm, and varied tourist offers make it a must-see in Menorca.
In the link, you will find the must-see places in the city.
We mainly stayed in Ciutadella so the restaurant recommendations are based there.
There are a few things to try in Menorca: caldereta de langosta (lobster stew), Maho cheese, fish meatballs, tumbet, Oliaigu and the arros caldos amb peix (fish stew with rice),
Here is a list of places where you can find those or other delicious foods:
- Restaurant S'Amarador Ciutadella de Menorca: great for seafood and good vibes at night. Go early; even in September at 8pm, we had to wait 45 min (worth it though!)
- Smoix Restaurant: Smoix is one of those restaurants with a highly personalized feel. Owner-chef Miquel Sánchez has built his cuisine around a true passion for organic and seasonal products. The exquisite prawn ravioli is an absolute must on the menu.
- Restaurant Cas Cònsol: Lively spot for tapas, seafood paella & Menorcan wines, with a terrace overlooking the port.
- Restaurant El Hogar del Pollo: go for the vibe. Cheap easy standing tapas place. It gets super busy and quite local. Don't judge us on the quality of the food though :D
